made by or for Werco Musical instruments, Chicago, IL. Circa 1960's-70's. Werco also made (or distributed) Tambourines and Drums, The neck headstock and fretboard are a single piece cast from aluminum, and are almost identical the "Dixie" Banjo Uke, also of Cast aluminum. I believe the "Dixie" Predates the Werco, so it is possible that Werco purchased the tooling from the company that made the Dixie. The
