Morelli

Modern. Most likely Made in China. I do not believe they are associated in anyway with Andreas Morelli, an early 20th century German Luthier. Advertisements boast that Morelli instruments are "Hand built by a master luthier" however, the instruments have a decidedly mass produced look. The "Morelli" name appears on Banjos, Accordions, Mandolins, violins, electric violins, and musical instrument cases. The same company that seems to be the sole distributor of these modern "Morelli" instruments also sells horns under the name of "Selman" (strikingly similar to the high end brand name "Selmer") as well as violins, ukuleles, guitars and drums under the name "Santini"
