OK, so what is my Tiki Stuff made of?
1. Tiki King Stuff
unless otherwise specified, My Tiki stuff is generally made from Alumilite Resinwhich is considered non-toxic in its cured (dry) state. However, no part of my Tikis should in any manner be ingested, inhaled or absorbed and they are not recommended for use by children, or those who are or may be sensitive to these materials. MSDS (Material Data Safety Sheets) are available from the manufacturers of these materials.
2. Finishes
The finish (patina) is generally enamel spray paint such as krylon, rustoleum, or testors enamel model paints, etc., but I also sometimes use water base paints, such as ceramcoat acrylic. these paints are considered safe to handle in their cured (dry) states. However, again, no part of my Tikis should in any manner be ingested, inhaled or absorbed and they are not recommended for use by children, or those who are or may be sensitive to these materials. MSDS (Material Data Safety Sheets) are available from the manufacturers of these materials.
3. And,
my Tiki's and related products may also contain or be treated with shellacs, lacquers, paints varnishes and or other finishes or materials, and may contain or be made from parts made of glass or plastics,(such as rhinestones) nylon, cotton, polyurethane, polyester, leather (such as cords) and/or various metals, as well as many types of wood, paper, fabric, glue, nails, bone, etc.
some or all of these materials may be subject to the prop. 65 warning, which is as follows:
